We had a wonderful trip to Swans Island on Friday, June 6, 2014.  114 fourth graders from Bar Harbor, Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Tremont and Trenton all boarded the Swans Island ferry to visit fourth graders out there.  We didn't let the inclement weather stop us and the day cleared as it went on.  We gathered in the school gym for a get acquainted activity and to meet our keypals.  Next, we broke into 4 groups for a rotation of activities that included: Cemetery Search, "I Spy" unnatural trail walk, a ride on a school bus for a tour of Swans Island and see the lighthouse, and free time on the playground.
