Social Studies: Election Day 2012

posted Nov 6, 2012, 11:10 AM by Sue Hersey   [ updated Nov 6, 2012, 11:17 AM ]
We are learning about our government and the election process.  We created a voting booth in our classroom and each of us cast our ballots using the electronic voting ballot for the "mock election" by students at Conners-Emerson School.

Our "town clerk", Molly checked in our registered voters.  Then each voter entered the voting booth, used the electronic ballot on the classroom computer, then checked out with the "town clerk" and                             received a star for voting.

We will be checking in on the voting results at the end of the day.  Hopefully, some students may even accompany their parents when they cast their votes today.
