Social Studies: Life on MDI in the 1800s.

We had an Acadia National Park Program at the Carroll Homestead to learn about life on MDI in the 1800s.  We  traveled back in time to the 1800s and explored the Carroll Homestead inside and outside to learn about life back then.  We also listened to Ms Grant, a descendant of the Carroll family, tell stories about her ancestors.  She even showed us a doll, named Lydia, and a special quilt owned by family members.  We had fun playing games at the end of the day that children in the Carroll family have played.
