Special Needs Awareness Day

posted Dec 18, 2012, 10:21 AM by Sue Hersey
We had the opportunity to  see what it might be like to have a specific disability when we attended Special Needs Awareness Day.  The guest speaker was a woman who was blind and she told us what her school days were like and also showed us interesting technology for the blind that is helping her as she goes to college.  Then we participated in three different activities to experience what it would be like to have trouble with memory, cerebral palsy and a loss of a hand.

These activities helped us to experience what it might be like to have such disabilities.
